[S1 Ep 21] Getting Real Tea with Dakota Williams

Amy : Hi, everyone,*smiles*. It’s Amy, and I want to start this episode by saying thank you to all my viewers. For these past few months, I’ve been so grateful to all the people I’ve interviewed on the show. To those who constantly support the show and to my viewers, I’m forever thankful towards all that watch every episode. Today in the studio with me I’ve got a really special guest. She’s an amazing friend of mine, and you know her from her show, The Dakota Williams show. She’s also the producer of Connecticut Wives, a new show coming to Twitter on August 24th. Please give a warm welcome to, Dakota Williams.
*The audience cheers with excitement when Dakota comes out*
Dakota : *waves to the audience* Hey, everyone! Hey, Amy! How you doin’
Amy : I’m doing fabulous Dakota! You know, I am working a lot these days. But I’m busy per usual *smiles*. How are you ?
Dakota : I’m great. Working a lot planning for Season 2 of the talk show, and producing Connecticut Wives is a, uh, huge job. So booked and busy.
Amy : Oh yes, Dakota!! You’re busy, hunni *laughs*. So let’s start with how did you come up with Connecticut Wives ? Was it something you were planning whilst doing your talk show ?
Dakota : Good question, well, uh, I was interested in producing a housewives sort of show. I got a team together, and we looked at multiple cities. We looked at Nashville, Los Angeles, and it didn’t really fit. Then we found these Greenwich ladies, and it just felt right ya know. It was something I planned while the talk show was airing.
Amy : Oh I see Dakota ! I am so excited for Connecticut Wives. Congratulations on your new venture, Dakota. What can viewers expect from the show ?
Dakota : They can expect to see WEALTH hunny these girls are rich. I’ve never seen so much luxury in my life! There’s obviously drama, but there’s also a lot of personal storylines that will be interesting for viewers to see.
Amy : Ooh, my! I’m so intrigued, Dakota *puts hands on mouth*. I will personally be tuning in. I love the sound of this show *winks and looks at the audience*. Though people will be tuning in week after week for Connecticut Wives, quote me on that *laughs*. Have you watched the first episode? What can you tease, Dakota ?
Dakota : I’ve actually seen the whole season, but from the first episode I can tell you that these ladies have a past, and there’s already drama between them. You’ll also meet a new girl that just moved to Greenwich. It’s definitely a, uh, premiere for the books.
Amy : How fascinating, I’m really looking forward to the premiere episode! Be sure to catch the season premiere on August 24th! Moving on, are there any other projects that you might be doing in the foreseeable future ?
Dakota : I’m working on a few things. The Dakota Network is new, and we’re working on another program for it at the moment. And personally, there’s another project of mine that I’m also working on so…I’ve got a lot of things going for me.
Amy : Do spill Dakota!! We are on Getting Real Tea!! I’d want some tea spilt hunni *laughs*. What is this project of yours? Can you tease a bit about it?
Dakota : The project for the network involves some girls from the role-play shows. But that’s all I’ll say. My lips are sealed *giggles*
Amy : Ha… I see! I’m really rather curious now, Dakota. Should we expect more shows in the future from Dakota Network ?
Dakota : Definitely, I’m always looking at more ways to expand the, uh, network. So, yea, there will be many more shows.
Amy : Ooh, I’m so happy for you, Dakota and you’re network. Truly, can wait to see more projects from yours truly hunni. So, let’s go back a bit to the ladies of Connecticut bring it individually this season on the show? *Glances at Dakota*.
Dakota : Absolutely, I can tell you right now every single cast member is involved in natural drama. Some of them noticed cracks in their friendships, some people were betrayed, and some, uh, just didn’t get along.
Amy : *Rubs hands together* I’m gonna be addicted to your show Dakota !! I can already see it *laughs*. So, is there a special someone in your life ? *Glances at Dakota*.
Dakota : Oh! You just jumped into that one *laughs* Well, there’s not one in particular, but I’ve got a few *blushes*
Amy : *Eyes widen* really ? You know, girlfriend, I can hook you up with someone, right? *Laughs* That’s what friends do *giggles*.
Dakota : Yesss! I’m think I’m okay right now *winks*
Amy : Okay, girlfriend, tell me when you’re ready, then hun *laughs*. So, Dakota, thoughts on this year’s ladies of Twitter? Who did you like? Who maybe didn’t you click with*laughs* ?
Dakota : Ya know, I wasn’t clicking with the first half of the season because it felt like all these girls were put together an expected to fight, but once the season went on, I really enjoyed it, they started to create real friendships and real drama. So overall, a good season, and I bet Season 14 will be awesome.
Amy : Hmm.. Frankly I really enjoyed watching this season of Ladies of Twitter. This year they brought drama, relationships and also friendships to the mix. I’m really intrigued to see how the reunion will play out and who’s back for season 14!! *Rubs hands together* That’s something I’m looking forward to. Who’d you say brought it this season ? Who’d you like back and who’d you not bring back for season 14 , Dakota?
Dakota : Mhm, mhm, tough question. I think all the ladies brought their best. I’d for sure like to see Amal, Kathy, Elle, and Rose this season. Luci may need a minute just to, uh, recuperate after her hubby’s death.
Amy : I do feel like all of them brought something special to the season. The viewers do resonate with one or two people from the cast. Though, I really enjoyed Kathy, Elle and Rose’s friendship on screen. They were really there for each other. However, also for Luciana, Amal and Grace they were there and supported each other. In particular, I do feel like Elle, Kathy, Rose and Grace and Amal should be back for season 14. Though, Luciana could take a season off to recuperate after her husband’s death. However, I do feel as if Amal should be promoted to full time next season. She brought her A game this season. With the addition of bringing a new “Friend” and a newbie for next season.
Dakota : I agree, like I said, Luci should take the time off. And Amal has deserved her full-time spot. I’ve said this on my show, but I’d like to see Billie or Dr. Devyn return to the show as well. Maybe some new girls too, but we’ll see.
Amy : Yes, I totally agree with you. Saying that Billie or Dr Devyn should return. In previous seasons both women were phenomenal. Let’s hope Dakota *fingers crossed* we shall see what happens. The Real Housewives of Beverly Beach announced their new cast members for season 4 ? Who are you mostly excited to see their debut ?
Dakota : I was fortunate to meet the cast last week, and they’re not messing around. To be honest, I’m excited to see each girl on the show. And Sheridan and Grace are two great additions to the show
Amy : I have to totally agree with you on that Dakota. I’m so excited to see all the women back on our screens. I’m also super thrilled to see the newbies debut on the show. They all will totally bring it on the show. Though, *tears up* I’m still processing the fact that Olivia J. Blake won’t be on season 4. It’s a bit sad not gonna lie. I wanted to see her wedding on the show. Though, I understand her reason for leaving. Family comes first and foremost.
Dakota : Yes, uh, she will be missed for sure. But I think the show will move on without her in a positive direction
Amy : Yeah , though who knows maybe she’ll pop up for a scene or two this season *shrugs*. Also, their is a new show premiering soon. It’s Heirs of Twitter. I’m really excited for this show to premiere on September 1st. The trailer was everything !!
Dakota : I am excited for that one as well. They’ve been very supportive of Connecticut Wives which has been nice to see. It will be, uh, probably different than most of the shows on now
Amy : Yeah , will just have to wait and see !! Though, I’ll be tuning in for sure !! Also, there’s the Real Housewives of Windsor. I’m just gonna say it. I love it !! All the women are bring it !!
Dakota : The first few episodes have been good. I’m enjoying it and they’re setting themselves up for an amazing first season
Amy : Yep they are !! Can’t wait to watch the rest of the season. It’s been phenomenal though *winks at the camera*. So, Dakota your talk show will be returning for a second season. Congratulations by the way so happy for you hunni *smiles*. What can we expect next season ?
Dakota : Thank you! Yea, um, we plan on spicing it up a bit next season. Bringing some new games and doing something a little different with our guests. It will for sure top our first season.
Amy : Oh that’s so great to hear !! I’ll be sure to tune in though. You’re doing an amazing job on your first season.
Dakota : Thank you so much for the support Amy!
